HOW DO YOU ZOOM OUT IN GOOGLE MAP MODE?????????

What an amazing app.. I have tried so many different apps that show quakes, but this is the one. Anyone that is looking for an earthquake map showing. This app is the one. Two thumbs up.

And the USGS report seems to be ascii all jumbled together (bug?)

I got it free and now I see there charging. I like how you can view listed earthquake based on distance. I just dont like how it would look all jumbled up. Ill update this review once I restore the app on my phone.

What would it take to have a map that didnt break up the Ring of Fire? Or better yet, a continously scrolling world map.

There are much better quake apps out there for free! No satellite view, needs more detail, color blobs are confusing, and I wish I could get a refund!

Update 1/2/11 its been over a year since I rated this app and since I see no improvements, Im deleting it in favor of a much better app with useful push notifications. <<>><><><<>><>> I have been waiting for a program like this and willingly paid the price for this app, but the app comes only frustratingly close to being awesome. I hope to soon see at least the following improvements: -ability to go from quake on list to quakes location on map -pin drop on location of my choosing so I can gauge quakes within a range if that pound -ability to search for "earthquake" + the location of the quake and date. Current search feature would only work for a major earthquake. -much better map controls -more earthquake info provided on the map. Rather than just intensity, show location, date, time, and distance from my drop-pin location. I support the developers work and urge them to keep at this, to improve it. I considered purchasing Quakeinfo but Im holding out because I think this could be the best one if the developers take our suggetions seriously.

Before I fall a sleep I look at this app for at least an hour. And the best part is, is that I got it free because I got it over a year ago!

1st place i went after the 5.9 in dc, scary stuff, never felt that here before! please let us choose a default start page!

I love this app. It never ceases to amaze me how many quakes there are in the world on any given day. What an absolute information gem.

Can you please add an option to select push notifications within a certain radiuos? It would be nice to be able to send a "Did you feel that notice to the USGS". I think and lastly and most importantly the ability to post earthquake information via email or Facebook or Twitter.

"Maps suddenly stopped working after a couple of years OK." Now fixed. I reported to author (Andrew) and he IDd problem with service that he gets maps from. He said he would fix. Now, a couple of weeks later, Andrew emails me to say he fixed. I re-installed and all is fine. How about that service! I have experimented with a number of earthquake apps and find this the best, easiest to use, includes time since event. For serious earthquake watchers, this is the one. Tom in CA

I really enjoy this app. Living in a earthquake area this keeps me updated right as a earthquake happens. Sometimes it lags but not much.

Its easy to get info. No complicated data. I recommend this app if you want to know quake info near you or far away.

This is my go to app anytime I feel the earth shaking. Its easy to use and always accurate. I dont know why it doesnt come on all devices

Loved the original version. The new version needs two tweaks: on the list page lock the headings in place, dont scroll them away and make list the default page. MQ gives you the information you need and leaves all the detailed stuff on the cutting room floor.

I have been using this app for years, ever since I got my first iPod (not the iPhone, the iPod). In all that time, this app has consistently delivered the earthquake information and mapping I wanted to track, and it is extremely easy to navigate. Thanks Mappity Quakes!!
